Terms and conditions
Effective 7 October 2026
The short version: Touchline Studio is for adult coaches to plan and share football training. There's a free plan, and paid plans that renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do any time. Don't post players' personal details or anything harmful. You're responsible for the sessions you run and for keeping your players safe.
1. Who we are
Touchline Studio is provided by Jonathan Keefe trading as KeefeCodes, a sole trader based in the UK, of 8 harriers Crescent, Liverpool L32 4AD (“we”, “us”). Contact: admin@keefecodes.com. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy.
2. Plans and payments
- Plans. The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans (Coach and Club) and their prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout before you pay. Prices are in pounds sterling.
- Free trial. Your first Coach or Club plan starts with a free trial (currently 14 days). If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged. One free trial per person.
- Automatic renewal. Paid plans renew automatically each month or year, and we take payment at the start of each period, until you cancel. We'll remind you before a yearly plan renews.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time in Team week → Plan & billing. You keep your paid features until the end of the period you've already paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. Nothing you've created is deleted.
- Refunds and your right to cancel. Our Refund policy explains your 14-day right to cancel and when refunds are given. It forms part of these terms.
- Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. If a payment fails, Stripe tries again over the following days; if it still fails, your account moves to the Free plan.
- Price changes. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects you, so you can cancel first if you want to. Founding-coach discounts stay for as long as the subscription continues without a break.
- Extra teams on the Coach plan are charged per team, per period, and changes are charged or credited pro rata.
3. Accounts
- You must be 18 or over to create a coach account.
- Give accurate details, keep your password private, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- You're responsible for what happens in your account, including what assistant coaches you invite do in your teams.
- Players don't need accounts. Anyone with a player link can see that page, so share links only with your squad and their parents or carers.
4. Keeping players safe: what you must not post
Player pages can be seen by children. You must not post or upload:
- players' personal details beyond a first name or nickname and a shirt number: surnames, phone numbers, email or home addresses, dates of birth, school names, medical or injury details, or anything about their family;
- photos or videos of players;
- anything unlawful, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, sexual, or harmful to children;
- anything that infringes someone else's rights, such as copied content or club badges you don't have permission to use;
- contact details that invite private one-to-one contact with players under 18.
Follow your club's, league's and the FA's safeguarding and digital communication guidance, including copying in parents or carers when you send things to players under 18. See our Safeguarding page.
5. Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable use policy. In short: don't try to break, overload, scan or get around the security of the service; don't access other people's accounts or data; don't copy or resell the service or the drill library; don't use it to send spam.
6. Reports, moderation and removal
Anyone can report a player page using Report a concern. We review reports promptly and may remove content, unpublish a page, or suspend an account that breaks these terms, usually after telling the coach why. If we remove something of yours and you think we got it wrong, email us and we'll look at it again. We don't monitor content proactively. Our named contact for online safety is Jonathan Keefe.
7. Your content
What you create stays yours. You give us permission to store it, copy it as needed to run the service (for example in backups), and show it to the people you share it with, including anyone with a player link. You confirm you have the right to post it.
8. Our content
The software, animations, formations, drills, descriptions and design of Touchline Studio belong to us or our licensors. You may use them to coach your teams and share player pages, but not copy, sell or republish the library or the software. Fonts and some code are used under open-source licences.
9. Health and safety
Drills, sessions and fitness plans are general guidance, not professional, medical or personalised advice. Before using them, you're responsible for checking they suit your players' age, ability and health, the pitch, the weather and the equipment. Warm up properly, supervise, and follow your club's and the FA's safety rules. Anyone returning from injury or with a health condition should get advice from a doctor or physiotherapist first. Stop any exercise that causes pain.
10. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep Touchline Studio running and your data backed up, and to fix problems quickly. We can't promise it will never be unavailable or error-free, especially during planned maintenance. Keep your own copy of anything important: you can download your data at any time. We may change or improve features; we won't remove a main feature of a paid plan during a period you've paid for.
11. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. If you use Touchline Studio as a consumer, you also have legal rights these terms don't affect.
Otherwise, we are not responsible for: losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen; injuries or losses arising from how drills or sessions are run, which coaches supervise and control; content posted by coaches; or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control. Where the service is used by a club or business, our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the greater of £100 and the amount you paid us in those 12 months.
12. Ending
You can stop using Touchline Studio and delete your account at any time under Team week → Your data & help. Deleting your account also cancels any paid plan straight away. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; if we close a paid account without good reason, we'll refund the unused part of the period. If we stop providing the service, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any unused part of a paid period.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. For significant changes, we'll give you at least 14 days' notice and ask you to agree again in the app. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. Please contact us first: most problems can be sorted out quickly.
